Our weekend in a nut shell!

We had a great weekend! Dad could be leaving for Connecticut this weekend so we are trying to spend our time together. We didn't do anything on Friday. Just stayed at home and played Mario! Saturday we had Becky and Brinley's baby shower. We have prayed for this little girl for quite a while. We can't wait to see her! Since Greg and I were raised so close together and there are only 3 1/2 years between us he's more like my big brother. So this sweet baby on the way feels like I'm getting a niece and not a cousin! Greg and Becky are going to be amazing parents and this little girl is going to have so much love! She'll also be one tough little girl!!! I've had the talk with Adylyn about Baby Brinley, she asks to see her all the time! While us girls went to the shower Mike went to Chickasha to watch Nate pitch. Nate got another win! After the shower Saturday I went and got the material at Hobby Lobby for my Grandma Mary to make Adylyn's Easter dress. She has made all us girls in the family our Easter dresses since we were little. Well, all us cousins are all older now. Last year I asked my Grandma if she would like to start making Adylyn's Easter dresses like she did for us. She was thrilled!!! I think she missed doing that!!! I can't wait to see it finished. The material I got it so cute and cheap! When Uncle Ryan got off work we went and ate at Chili's then went bowling. Adylyn LOVES to bowl! We always have a good time when we go. I even bowled a 114 the 2nd game. Which is really good for me! The time change has been hard on me. I've been over-sleeping! Sunday school came really early! Sunday after church Bubba and Vanessa came over and we played some Mario while waiting for Jessi and Ryan to get to town. Playing Mario with 3 people was quite comical, mainly because I'm not too good and Bubba is quite animated! The boys, Mike, Cody, and Ryan, went golfing and us girls stayed at home. We cooked out steaks and veggies on the grill with Nana and Chris before Bubba had to leave for work again. We had a wonderful weekend with the family spending some time together. We all cannot wait until summer gets here so we can grill out and jump in the pool! Speaking of which, that will be an interesting story when we go to open the pool up for our first time!!! I'll leave you with some pictures from the baby shower!

The cake was made by Keri Benningfield here in Medford. She does AWESOME work! And it tasted so good and was very moist!

Adylyn and her cheesyness!

Reese Joe! His hair looks so red!

Aunt Danielle played in the Big House! Aunt Jessi, Uncle Ryan, and Reese went with us and we made a day out of it! Ady ended up falling asleep on Pa's shoulder but got to watch D play a little! We are so proud of her!

Reese is checking it out!

The girls lost but Aunt D scored in the BIG HOUSE!! She's just a Freshman so we'll see her play there a few more times hopefully!!!

Adyism's..

At least once a day Adylyn will say something to either Mike or I that we laugh hysterically at! I really am kicking myself for not writing these things down! So I decided to write it on here where everyone else can get a laugh too! We like to call them "Adyism's" Yesterday she was ignoring me and I said "Adylyn Jane" and she answers back "My name is Ady"!!!!! Well, that is what we call her! But we named her Adylyn for a reason didn't we!? We love that name!! So I explained to her that my name is Jennifer but she calls me Mom, just like her name is Adylyn but we call her Ady! Hope that got through! She is also into this thing where she will just up and yell at her Dad. BUT she will yell "MIKE"!! and she doesn't need anything either, just feels the need to grab his attention! Her Unlce Ryan is also teaching her lots of new things!!! He's taught her to beat box, and to also yell out "boomshakalaka"! With her and Reese around we don't need television! They are very entertaining!

1.2.3....

Adylyn is really good at counting. She makes it to 12 and then goes back to 6! We joke and say she is dividing!!!! I've posted a video to show you! After she counted I asked her to say her ABC's. We haven't quite gotten those down yet! It's still funny to listen to her! I believe she goes from A.B.C. to Q.R.S.T.U.V!! We're working on it!

Jesus Loves Me!!!!

Adylyn loves to sing 'Jesus Loves Me'! I love to here her sing it! She is such a blessing to our family. She LOVES to go to Sunday School and church. If we aren't in town to go or for instance she's sick, she's not a happy camper! I hope this puts a smile on everyone's faces. If you ever need a smile just hop on over here and watch this video!

Finger Paint.....

I decided to try our hand in finger painting last week. I wanted to do some hand prints with her but we had to much and it wasn't working like we wanted to! So I just let her play this time and we'll do the handprints later! At first she would only stick 1 finger at a time in it! Then she gone down and dirty!!! Towards the end she was squishing her hands together telling me she was 'washing her hands'! She was very clean with it so I'm sure we'll get it out again and play!

First Haircut!

Adylyn's hair got real stringy on the ends and she had this long piece in the back. So I decided to go get it cut off hoping her hair wouldn't be so frizzy! I probably could have done it myself, actually I know I could have! But I wanted her to have the experience of getting it done! I think she enjoyed it!
