A day on the farm!

Saturday we went and spent the afternoon with Grandpa George. We haven't seen him in a few weeks so we decided to head on over. Plus we have a new colt!!! Grandpa George has had some health problems but recently has received a miracle only God is responsible for. He experienced a stroke and was having some side effects from it. After many tests and dr.'s visits weeks later they have come to the conclusion that there is no evidence of ever having a stroke! He has more energy, more color and feeling in his legs, and no more headaches. I cannot thank God enough for this miracle! My Grandpa means so much to me. He was such an important part of my life growing up and has taught me so much. It broke my heart to think that Adylyn wouldn't get to know him like I do. I can't put into words my love for this man. He is an AWESOME grandpa and an even better Great-Grandpa! Adylyn adores him. When we got to his house she got out of the car and ran over to him and jumped in his arms! They both lit up like lighthouses!! My heart smiled!!! There is quite a few pictures but I love them all and it just shows how great he is with Ady and Reese!
Grandpa George with his 2 Great-Grand Kids (It was pretty hard to get Ady and Reese to smile at the same time)! This picture makes my heart smile!!!

Has Spring Sprung?

Adylyn's flowers are coming up! Checking out her new flowers that have popped up! She was excited!
I posted a blog about Ady and Mike planting her flowers that Nana got her for Valentine's Day. I believe it was last Friday. These are some of her flowers. Mike's tomatoes and peppers still aren't coming up yet but Ady's flowers sure are! This is just making us more antsy to get outside and do more!! She loves getting to water them and she get's up in the chair a few times a day and looks at them! She's the one who noticed her sprouts. She was up in the chair and said "Mom these are my flowers" I then told her that we had to wait for them and they wouldn't be up just yet. Well I was wrong! I can't wait til they are fully bloomed. I'll have a picture with Ady and her masterpieces!!

First Eye Appt!

Adylyn has her very first eye appointment Thursday morning. I talked to her on the way there about what they were going to do. She did SOOOO good! I was impressed. She got right up to the machine and put her chin on the strap and looked in it with no reservations! Dr. Diehl told me that around the age 4 is when childrens eye motion and coordination is fully developed. Adylyn's is fully developed! He was flashing pictures on the wall and she was telling him what the pictures where. There were some pictures that were 20/20 and she told him what it was! I was sitting in the same chair with her and I couldn't even tell with my glasses on!

So that's one thing to check off the worry list. Honestly, I knew her eyesight was very good. She will spot birds and airplanes while we are driving and I have to search for them! I just really wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything wrong developmentally. I'd rather catch it early and get it fixed rather than wait until it's too late.

She told Dr. Diehl she was done and wanted a sucker!! They didn't have suckers so they gave her a doughnut from their breakfast!

4 years and counting!

Dancing at our wedding! Happy as can be!
And here we are now! Happy as can be!

Today is Mike and I's 4 year anniversary. I seems like we've been married for alot longer but then it doesn't seem like it's been 4 years! I am so blessed to have him in my life. He came to me when I wasn't looking and it was perfect timing. Man does God know what He's doing, or what?!

I don't know if alot people know how we met or not so I'll just go ahead and tell you! We were both Freshman Fall of 02 at SWOSU in Weatherford. We had a computer class at 8 in the morning together. We sat beside each other all semester and never said a word to each other. I take that back the last few days of class we had to do an assignment were we e-mailed the person sitting next to us. So I think we asked each other for our e-mail addresses and that was it! That was the Fall semester, in the Spring we had Anatomy lecture and lab together. We sat at the same lab table (4 to a table). About a month into class I heard Mike talking with his lab partner about a party that was going on that weekend. I invited myself into the conversation and gave Mike my number and told him to call me if they went out and did anything. He called me and I went to a party with him at one of his friend from high school's apartment. We just continued to talk and hang out like best friends. On February 24, 2003 we made in official and become boyfriend/girlfriend! I remember my Papa Gene telling me he knew I was serious about this guy when I didn't come home one weekend for the races. If you know me that's a HUGE deal.

The reason I know God was at work when he gave me Michael is because in April my parents split up. He put Michael in my life and allowed us to grow together. Mike is truly what got me through that heart wrenching time. I was devastated and Mike was their to pick up the pieces. He wasn't the only one, but I was in Weatherford alone and scared and thank the Lord he was there to help me through it.

We spent 2 summers apart while we each came home to work summer jobs. It was tough! But I'm a firm believer that if you are meant to be together than you'll make it through anything.....even miles!

Mike travels alot with his job so I'm also a huge believer that "Absence makes the heart grow fonder"!

He propsed to me November 5, 2004. We were engaged for a while because I was in PT Assistant school. That time just allowed us to grow closer and learn more about each other. March 25, 2006 we became Husband and Wife. He makes me happier every day that we are together. The only thing better than that happiness is bringing a child into it.

I thank God everyday for blessing me with Michael. He has brought me closer to God and is an amazing Father to Adylyn. I love him with all my heart and so glad I get to spend the rest of my life with him. Thanks for the memories Babe!! I love you!

Our day outside!

Yesterday the weather outside was absolutely gorgeous! Adylyn loves to play outside so we grabbed some toys and out we went! We are tired of being cooped up inside! She rode her tricycle ( which she was done with as soon as I got my camera!), wrote with chalk, pushed her baby around. It was a little windy but it was still worth being out in the sunshine! I'm glad we were able to play outside because today is cloudy and supposed to be rainy later on. Here are some pics of Adylyn playing!
Such a pretty girl!

Taking her baby for a walk!

Drinking some lemonade!

I won..I won.. or I guess Mike won!!!

I don't even remember the last time I won something. It's been that long! But that streak has ended. I (or I should say Mike) has one a necktie! I found this blog through my friend Heather at Huskey Happenings. Jenna at The Jackson Five was doing a giveaway for a free necktie from ABC Neckties. I entered and guess what...I won! Yay! This site has some really cool looking ties and they are very reasonably priced. We picked the Hapmtons Striped Silk Tie, I think it'll look really good on Mike and will go with white, black, or blue shirts. I can't wait to see it on him. If anyone is looking for a good looking tie head on over there! Also go check out Huskey Happenings and The Jackson Five, they both have adorable children. Heather, I know personally and has the sweetest baby girl who Adylyn loves already! Thanks Jenna!!

A little bit about Adylyn!

*She loves animals!
*Can spell her name A-D-Y
*Count to 12 without help
*Says A B C Q R S T U V..she'll say every letter but not in the correct order
*Such a good Momma to her babies- always sshhing them and rocking them
*Has a HUGE imagination- this girl could turn a rock into a baby doll! And has!!!
*Is highly advanced for her age- And I don't say this because she is mine! Seeing her with others her age makes you realize it. She's only been around 1 other girl older than her that talks better. Adylyn speaks complete sentences and has since around 18 months
*She loves sports (thank goodness!)
*would eat chicken for every meal if you let her. When you ask her what she wants it always chicken!
*Is arguementive- VERY! I swear she gets this from her Aunt Jessi! LOL! What gets me is she'll argue about things like what color something is!
*Has a major attitude when she doesn't get her way- Just recently she has started throwing things. Uh Oh is right! I'm not at all ready for the teenage years!
*Sings Jesus Loves Me and it's the sweetest sound to my ears
*Can sing some of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star but it usually ends with 'the Bible tells me so'!
*Still calls her Dad 'Da Da'
*Extremely Independent - Yes, she gets this from me!
*Won't sit and watch t.v. unless it's Toy Story or Toy Story 2. She is obsessed with Buzz and Woody. She's never seen Dora!!
*Always wants to go to Atwoods if we are in Enid
*Loves to go out to the farm with Nana and Chris
*Is a reasoner. If I tell her no for something she always has an alternate...How about we....! Once again not ready for the teenage years!
*Loves her Uncle Bubba more than she could ever show him!
*Knows her colors
*Weighs 22.2 lbs and is 34 1/2 inches tall

I know there are tons of things I am missing but these are some of the things that make her Adylyn Jane! She keeps us on our toes and we love it!

Wonderful Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend with the Royal's. We didn't get that much snow so they were able to come up Saturday afternoon. We absolutely LOVE March Madness in our house! Adylyn has even caught the fever!!! She filled out her own bracket (not doing so well..she had Villanova winning!). You'll catch her in front of the t.v yelling. So Jessi and Ryan came up to watch some basketball and hang out for a while. We had supper on the table and were fixing to dig in at the end of the Kansas game. Needless to say it got a little loud!! Almost everybody in our pool has Kansas at least in the finals if not winning it all! It's been a GREAT March Madness. Couldn't ask for better ballgames. Well, except if my teams I picked could win! Ha Ha! After the ballgames we were still wired and bored so we got out Adylyn's Little Tikes basketball goal and played Horse! This was entertaining. I'm so glad that there wasn't a video camera near. Especially since I had to go after Ryan. He always does crazy things that he knows I'm not coordinated enough to do! But I try!!!! We roasted marshmellows in the fireplace and made smores also! We love to do that! There's gonna be quite a few pics but we just had a GREAT time together!
Reese on the phone!

My favorite little man!

Adylyn and Dad wrestling. She always wants to wrestle in the evenings!

Eating Marshmallow's. Reese LOVES them! He sticks the WHOLE thing in his mouth!

Jessi roasting Marshmallows! Reese is grabbing for one and it's still on fire(he wasn't burned)!!!

Coloring! I think Mike and Ryan enjoyed this just as much as Ady did! Reese just tries to eat them!!
These are the pics of my trying to make a shot by running up to the goal and going through my leg to shoot it! Yes I ran into the door! Thanks Ryan!!! ;)

Playtime with Reese!

Adylyn is at her kitchen quite a bit. She's always cooking something and she does her dishes alot! I think Santa did good when he brought her this! When Reese is over he is at her kitchen just as much. This little boy loves to play with the dishes! He'll carry around a spoon and a bowl or cup all day long! Here is Ady and Reese cooking supper the same time we were cooking supper on Saturday night. Ady will imitate what we are doing. She's gonna be a good little cook! She is always in the kitchen with me and always has to help. Those were my favorite times with my Grandma Mary so I want to make sure se remembers things like that.

Is it Spring Yet!

Well Spring is officially here! Well on the calendar anyways! We got snow Saturday morning but not alot. We didn't even get to play in it because Saturday it was way to windy and by the time we took our nap after church it was already melted!! Oh well! For Valentine's Day Nana got Ady some flowers for her to plant. Mike is going to start a small garden out back so Friday Dad and Ady planted her flowers and Mike started his tomatoes and peppers inside. She loved getting to do this and I think she's really going to enjoy getting to water and take care of her flowers and the garden. She loves to have a 'Chore' to do! I let her load the bottom rack of the dishwasher all the time and she'll even fold a whole basket of towels by herself!! She's just a great helper. Here are some pictures from her and Dad planting their stuff!
