37 weeks, Sundae, and finally outside!

I am already 37 weeks! I can't believe it! I am officially full term and could go into labor at anytime. Yes we have been preparing for that! Thursday I went in for my 37 week appt and I am dilated almost to a 2. Everything still looks and sounds good. Heartbeat was 141 bpm. Dr. thinks I will more than likely go another 3-4 weeks and that is my due date. He will not induce me until I go past 42 weeks. Man I hope I don't go that long. I'm to the point where I am very uncomfortable and it's getting harder to move around. My stomach is very tender because he's pushing out everywhere. He's running out of room!!!

Ady also had an appt Thursday with her ENT for a check-up on her tubes. They are still in place and dry! So we go back in another 3 months. That has been the best thing we did for her. I did not want to get tubes put in but Dr. did it because she had fluid built up for at least 3 weeks and we could tell she was having hearing problems. The surgery was in June and she's only been on antibiotics once since then and that was over New Years for a sinus infection. I don't know how much of it was due to the tonsils and adenoids out or the tubes put in but it's helped!

After doctor appointments and running errands I decided to take Ady to Braums and get some ice cream. She's never had a sundae so I let her pick what she wanted and we would share it. She loves ice cream so she was pretty excited! She picked out a Strawberry Shortcake Sundae and I was pretty happy since that is my favorite!!! I try to do something just for her when we go in for my appts because everything has been all about Logan lately. Mike and I have been trying to think of something fun to do with her before Logan gets here and I think we decided we'll take her bowling. She loves to bowl and it's not a whole lot of walking for me!

Digging into her sundae!
Yummy!

I thought she looked really cute before we left for Enid!

Notice Logan' s swing in the background. Ady has put an extra bassinett sheet on it for her babies!

Friday Mike was home from work. His contractors are on their 4 day break and have gone back to Minnesota. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! We took advantage and got outside and did some work on Mike's truck and some yard work.
Posing with Max!

Chewing on a stick!
Helping (watching) Dad stack wood.
Playing in her house!

I see you Mom!!

She said she's opening the window to let the sun in!

Love her!

Ringing her doorbell.
We had a great day yesterday and also got alot done around here. Ady and Mike were sitting on the couch watching Sid the Science Kid and Ady looks at me and says "I'm so glad Dad's home"! She misses him so much during the week when he works his long hours!
We ended the day by going over and seeing Bubba, Nessa, and Jax. We also got to see Cody Pratt! I love that kid and miss him tons! Then we went upstairs and saw Nana and Chris and decided to go eat dinner at the Red Barn in Caldwell. I love good and productive days!! I was having some pretty strong but short contractions last night from all the activity I did. But they stopped as soon as I got in bed and got relaxed.
I have another Adyism for you.... The other night we were over at Nana's and we were leaving. Ady asked "Dad, can I drive home?" Mike replied "Yes" then Nana asked "Ady do you have a drivers license" and Ady replies "No, but I got lots of credit cards!!!"" I thought we were going to fall on the ground laughing! She cracks us up!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend before the crazy cold weather hits again.

Getting ready...

This week we have been doing more around here to get ready for Logan's arrival, whenever that may be! Mike has been working late every night so it's pretty much just been Ady and I. I finally finished today with the house. It only took me 3 days but I got it done! So everyday I am waking up like today is the day. I get the house picked back up and do what little things need to be done. Our bags are packed and I've got all my lists made of what else to grab. The unknown is driving me crazy!! I was induced with Ady but I will not be with Logan unless problems arise or I go past 42 weeks (God help me if I do). I have been having more Braxton Hicks contractions and I have alot of pressure. Logan is SO much lower than how I carried Ady. I go back to the dr tomorrow (Thursday) and he is going to check me for progress. I will be 37 weeks Friday.

I have been trying to cherish the time I have left with Ady where it is just the 2 of us. I love the time I get to spend with her and I know we are both going to miss the one on one time we have. But on the other hand she is so excited to be a big sister and can't wait for Logan to get here. Everyday she asks when he's coming. The other night she was in the bath and Mike and I were both sitting in the bathroom with her and Mike asked her if she wanted to stay a little girl forever and never grow up. She replied "NO, I'm a big girl"!! She is such a big helper and I;m not really worried about being to overwhelmed when Logan is born. The nights are the only thing I'm worried about!!!

I could eat this face up! I love these eyes! She has mine!!!!

And then there is this goofy girl!!! She makes us laugh all the time! She is so darn witty!

I'll leave you with a video. Our Bible verse for this week is Mark 11:22 "Have Faith in God.."
She has been playing with her makeup the last few days. We had to make a quick trip to the grocery store this evening and I looked down at her while we were checking out and it looked like she had bruises on her face. I forgot to wash off her blue eye shadow that of course is on more than just her eyes!!

I almost forgot..Ady has been calling me Grandma this week. I finally asked her why in the world she is calling me that and she said "Well you're Susie's grandma"!! This girl! I'm telling you, she comes up with the funniest things!

Catching up....

I am just going to do one long post to catch up on our week. Sorry if it gets too long and boring!
Friday Mike was home from work. Since he had worked his 10 or so days he got Friday and Saturday off. We woke up and got busy on painting trim! Friday evening Jessi called and wanted to know if we needed any help with Logan's room. YOU BET! If Mike had to do it all by himself it would have taken him forever! We ended up going into Enid that evening to get some things at Lowe's that we needed then we met Jessi, Ryan, and Reese for dinner. Saturday morning we got up and the guys got started touching up paint getting the trim put back on. They got SO much done Saturday! The furniture got put together and some of Logan's clothes got put in the closet (what I had hangers for). I feel so much better knowing that at least the room is somewhat complete. I still need to get the bedding (not to worried about that because he won't be sleeping in his crib for a while), curtains, and somethings off Etsy for decorations. But at least if he comes we have a place to change his diapers and a place for his clothes!
Saturday was another play date for Adylyn and Reese. They decided they wanted to get out the Play-Doh! Ady loves to play with it and Reese has recently started to explore!!! He doesn't want to eat it anymore!!
They giggled all the time! I love hearing them go back and forth with there giggles!

I had to make a trip to the grocery store and it was time for us to eat lunch plus it was nap time. Jessi stayed with the kids while I ran out. When I got back she said the kids were melting!!
Ady is trying to make the bed that we had set out for Jessi and Ryan.

Reese kept getting on the bed and messing up her covers. She was getting a little upset! Jessi took these pics so I'm not sure if he was telling her he was sorry or she was choking him!!!
Saturday evening Mom invited us over for stew! Cody was still home so they came up and we played games after we ate. I cherish those moments that we all get together and have a good time!
Jax Joe. He's getting so big!

He always has his tongue out!
He has been pulling himself up!

He is also on the move! He has been for probably about a month now but of course I'm just now getting around to posting about it!

He's such a chunky boy!

And he loves paper!

Monday Ady and I got some housework done and then after naptime we decided we needed to make cupcakes! Ady loves to help out in the kitchen. Whether it's baking or cooking dinner she's always right there!
Stealing some batter!

Licking the beaters, the best part!!
After they cooled I let her ice her own. ALL BY HERSELF! She wanted sprinkles too! I had to stop her on her first cupcake because if not she would have put the whole container of icing on there! She was so excited to get to do this!

Hard at work!

Posing with her masterpieces!

She wants one so bad!

Pretty please!
And this was her finished product! I don't think she used all the sprinkles!

Tuesday I got really sick. I was really nauseated and had diarrhea (sorry if that's TMI)! I had no energy so I was on the couch most of the day. I felt horrible that I couldn't get down and do things with Ady that I normally do but I really think she understood. She was so good and played on her own and didn't ask much. I started throwing up Tuesday night right before bed. I just new I was going to go into labor!! HA!

Wednesday morning I had an OB appt in Enid. So Ady and I got up and headed in for that (I'll make a pregnancy update later). I didn't get any of the errands ran that I wanted to because I was still not feeling 100% so we just came home and took a nap! I have things that I need to get done but I just have no energy and don't feel well. It's getting old! Logan's cradle bedding came in so Ady and I got that washed and put in his cradle. So now he has a place to sleep!!

Today is Nessa's bday! We will be going over there for dinner tonight. I'm excited! Nessa's mom is cooking and she is Mexican so I can't wait. I know I'm probably going to be hurting later but I can't pass up authentic Mexican food!!

Now it's onto keeping up with the laundry and hopefully getting some more of Logan's clothes hung up!

Painting and Royal Time...

Last week Mike worked a TON of hours. I think there may have been 1 day where he got home before 8pm. And he leaves the house by 5am! With Logan coming very soon we have a ton of things to do. Jessi, Ryan, and Reese came up Saturday afternoon to help out. Mike didn't get home from work until around 10:30 that night so I am so glad they came. We also got a call that Cody was heading to Atlanta Sunday morning to work the big snow/ice storm so he was coming home to spend some time with Jax before he left. So we got to see him for a little bit also.

I had been washing baby clothes for about 3 days straight. It was around 15 boxes of baby clothes! Between Reese, Jax, and my friend Lindsey, Logan has PLENTY of clothes! I had just piled all the clothes on the bed in the spare bedroom, which is the nursery now. When Jessi got here we spent about 4 hours in there and sorted all the clothes by sizes and style. Holy cow were we worn out!!! We got it all done though! Reese and Ady hadn't played together in a couple of weeks with everyone being so busy over the holidays so they got in some much needed play time. They played SO good together this weekend. Usually they are fussing and fighting alot, alot like brother and sister! But they must have really missed each other!

Here they are coloring on the front screen door with window crayons and then cleaning it off! My front door looked like hilarious! Reese Joe

I missed this little man!
Sunday morning Jessi, Reese, and I got ready for church. Mike slept in til about 10, he was exhausted! Ady has really missed Mike this last week so she didn't go to church with us. She spent some much needed time tith her Daddy! Mike, Ryan, and Ady went to Enid to get what we needed to paint Logan's room and take the trim off to sand and paint it. We (THEY), started painting around 2 or so. The bedding is a dark brown and blue so we went with the dark brown for the walls, reminds me of chocolate!, and white trim. It looks really good and I can't wait to see it when the trim is finished!
Ryan putting the first strokes on! I trusted Mike and Ryan to pick out the color! I really wanted to have the bedding first so we could match the colors but it just didn't happen that way. But brown is one of those colors that you can have different shades and it still look OK. I think Ryan is saying at this point "Jen, I hope you like it, cause if not, TOO BAD!!!"

Mike and Ryan busy painting! They whipped through these walls really fast!

While Mike, Ryan, and Jessi were in the nursery painting I got in some play time with Reese and Ady! Ady has tons of dress up stuff. I think she has close to 10 pair of high heel shoes!!! Reese LOVES to put on a pair of shoes and try to walk around! He loves to play dress up. Not neccesarily with girly stuff, he just loves to put hats on and any kind of shoes. So Mom and I talked about getting some different hats, ties, and vests for Reese to dress up in.

He tried so hard to walk around but just couldn't do it!

Look at those eye lashes!

2 cute kids in their high heels!

Pretty girl!

And this is the many faces of Reese!

His mean look!

Jessi taping off the shelves in Logan's closet.

They colored at Ady's desk for a long time. They were so quiet in there I began to worry!

These pictures make me laugh! The cozy coupe was the center of entertainment for much of the weekend! Reese loves to drive it! He spent close to 30 minutes Sunday evening trying to put one of Ady's strollers in the car! He tried to put it on the top!
He tried getting in the car first and then pulling it in after him.
So determined!
He tried pushing it in! He ended up getting mad and realized it wasn't going to happen!
Look at those eye lashes!
Sweet boy!
I'm getting the mean look!

Driving the car!
While we were working in the nursery it started to sleet/snow!
Monday, Ady and I had a pretty lazy day. I wasn't feeling very well and had a few contractions in the morning so we just played most of the day. We woke up to quite a bit of snow. Ady really wanted to go play in it but I stepped out and was way to uneasy on my feet so I knew it wouldn't be wise for us to go out. Then in the afternoon it got even colder so there was no way we were going out! Mike left work a little early since the roads were pretty bad north of here and he called at Conway Springs and his alternator had gone out in his truck. So Nana, Ady, and I made a trip up there to get him home!

I don't know if I've ever told you about Gary. Gary is Ady's dog! She named it and treats it like a real dog! She makes sure she takes him out to use the bathroom and she feeds him. We had gone to the mall one afternoon and she left Gary laying on a shelf in Bath and Body. We didn't realize it until we were loading up the car to leave. Vanessa ran inside to trace back our steps and thank goodness she found him. We had one upset little girl on our hands. You would have thought she lost a real child!
Here is proof of Gary getting fed!

Here is what we woke up to Monday morning.

I tried to take a picture of the walls in the nursery to show you the color.

Here you can kinda tell the color. Where you see light brown will be sanded and painted white.

I'm hoping to get some housework done today but so far we've swaddled, fed, and changed babies. It's so cold outside so we will be inside for the day today! Today is Chris's birthday so we will be going to Nana's for lasagna and red velvet cake (Chris's annual birthday dinner)! Happy Birthday Chris! We love you!
