Happy 4 Months, Logan!

Wow! I can't believe it's already been 4 months! It's definitely been a fun 4 months! Logan is such a happy baby and easy to care for so that make it easy on this Momma!! He changes everyday and does something new so it's fun to wake up and wonder what Logan will be doing today!
As you can tell by this picture he is moving constantly. Pictures are getting more difficult.

Sweet boy at 4 months! Check out them legs!

He ended up spitting up right after the above picture and ruined his sticker so the rest of the pics don't have the 4 month sticker!

These are the little moments I live for!
The best big sister (besides myself :)))
Fingers are always in his mouth
Don't mind her hair! She had been doing it herself!

I could eat these toes up!

Sweet baby feet!

His face cracks me up in this picture!

Sweet babies!

What Logan is up To?!
  • You are eating every 2-3 hours during the day. 4 ounces each time. I've tried feeding you more to see if you would go longer between feedings but you just spit it up every time!
  • You go to sleep around 8:30 or 9 and sleep until around 4 or 5. Eat a 4 ouce bottle then back to bed for a couple hours.
  • You love bath time!
  • You don't nap very well during the day. But I'll take it over you sleeping at night!
  • We have started giving you rice cereal. We started a couple weeks ago giving it to you for breakfast but you were super fussy during the day so we backed off. I have started again giving it to you during dinner. You get fussy the second we start to eat and you grab for everything. You seem to be doing better this time around!
  • You are going to be our little eater!
  • You roll constantly when you are on the floor. You always end up on the other side of the room!
  • Grab at toys really well. Of course they go straight to you mouth!
  • 2 weeks ago, June 9th, you weighed 14.1 ounce and were 25 inches long.
  • You go back the 30th for your 4 month shots.
  • You have discovered your voice and holler all the time!
  • You are in size 2 diapers.
  • Wear 0-3 and 3 month clothes
  • You LOVE to be in the water!
  • You love to watch Ady. You are perfectly content laying on the floor watching her run around!
  • You have started to reach for Max if he is near you.
  • You are super ticklish and belly laugh every time you are tickeled!
  • Have to be strapped into EVERYTHING! If not you fall out of your seats, swings, and even car seat!

Logan Bear,

I can write about you all day long! You are such a joy to raise. I love to watch you and Ady play together. She loves you so much and I can tell you love her just the same. I thank God everyday for blessing me with you and Ady. He chose me to be your Momma and I can't thank Him enough! My wish for you is that you grow up to be a strong man of God and you have your own family who you can raise up in God's name. Thanks for being such a perfect baby! I know when you cry you are either hungry or tired! Mommy, Daddy, and Ady love you so much!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my Momma! The strongest woman I know and one of my best friends. She has taught me so much. How to be an independent woman, how to ALWAYS trust in God and turn to Him for everything. How to be a great mother to my children, to always stand up for myself, never be selfish, never accept anything but the best, and that no matter what my kids come first and foremost. I hope I am raising Adylyn to be the same type of woman she has raised Jessi and I to be. I also hope that Logan and I have the same love that Cody and Mom share. Nothing like a momma and her son! A mother's love is unconditional and she proves it everyday. She puts everyone else's needs before her own. Hardly ever asks of anything but is quick to help others.

She is also the best Nana ever! I know she must be wonderful when Ady asks everyday if she can go to Nana's house! I have taken her for granted for so long. The day you start to raise your own children it all changes. I could not do it without having my mom just a phone call away and
just down the road.

Thank you mom for always being there for me and my children. I know I can always count on you no matter the time of day or the situation. You are an amazing woman and such a blessing to our family. I'm so blessed that I have you to look up to. Thank you for being the rock of our family and showing us God loves us. I love you!

Happy 2 months, Logan!

2 months already! It's gone by so fast! We've had a blast so far! He has gotten so big! Ady was so tiny and stayed little for so long that seeing Logan gain weight like he is just blows my mind! He is such a happy baby. He smiles all the time. Just hearing our voices will make him smile. He is beginning to laugh and it's the cutest thing. Big sister Ady can get the biggest smiles out of him! He loves her so much already! He is such an easy going baby!

At your 6 week checkup Dr said you were doing perfect and not to change a thing!

What Logan is up to:

  • Eating 4 ounces every 2-3 hours.

  • Eating half formula/half breastmilk. Tomorrow will be the last of the breastmilk that we have saved then it'll be all formula

  • Go to bed around 9pm, wake up between 2 and 3am, eat then right back to sleep until 6am, eat again, then right back to sleep until about 9am

  • You try to lift your head up when sitting in your bouncy chair!

  • We put you in your bumbo and you seem to really like it! You can watch Ady better!

  • Still HATE tummy time

  • Have found your hands recently

  • Started to drool

  • Size 1 diapers

  • 0-3 month clothes

  • Bath time is still iffy! Sometimes you like it sometimes you can't wait to be done!

  • You have started to 'Hoot' and it's the cutest thing!

  • You LOVE to be rocked!

  • You got your first set of shots and did great! It scared Ady to hear you cry like that and she wanted to be right up on the table with you.

  • You weighed 12 pounds 5 ounces. You have gained another pound in just 2 weeks!

The sweetest smile!

You have the craziest hair! Everybody comments on it!

Logan,

We love you so much! You are such a happy baby and bring so much joy to our lives. Your big sister Ady adores you and never wants to be away from you. Just ask Aunt Jessi!! Jax can not wait for you to get a little bigger so he has someone more on his level! Reese always has to know where Logan is! You have the best cousins and we look forward to what you guys have in store for us! You are growing so fast and I can already tell you will be independent just like Ady! Happy 2 months!

It Is Well.....

Tonight at our Lenten Supper at church our Pastor Craig sang It is Well. I don't know what version he sang (he also played the guitar). Diana our awesome piano player accompanied him. This song really spoke to me tonight. I got on You Tube and saw that Kutless has a version. I really like Kutless. We even have this CD. Please go here and watch the video and follow the lyrics. I have been having a really hard time emotionally dealing with Cody's accident. Next week it will be 1 year since it happened. Since the day it happened my prayers have had something in them having to do with it. Whether it be for healing or praising my God everyday for the miracle He has given to us. Lately my prayers have been first to praise Him. I will always Thank the Lord for giving Cody back to us. But I cannot get the images out of my head of Cody laying there so lifeless. I still have a hurt in my heart. I know I shouldn't. I am so thankful for everything that has come about since that day. Even though this has been the worst thing I have ever dealt with so many people came to know our Jesus. I am now closer to him as well. I pray everyday for God to lay peace on my heart. Monday, memories of the hospital came flooding back to me and I instantly found myself in prayer. I really honestly believe that the Lord has not let me forget those hard moments simply because it only brings me closer to Him when I do get lost in the memories. Listening to Craig sing this song spoke mountains to me tonight. It is well with my soul. I know that no matter how hard it is to relive those 3 and a half weeks it is well with my soul. "Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul." This may not make any sense when reading. I just wrote the words as they came to my heart. If you read this please say a prayer for me, say a prayer for Cody, say a prayer for my Mom, and say a prayer for the whole family. These next few days are going to be hard. I know it will be for me. But with your prayers for peace and comfort we can make it. We are blessed beyond measures and have so much to be thankful for. Our God is Awesome, how can you deny Him.? It Is Well With My Soul.....

One Month Old...

Logan Michael is already one month old! I can't believe this. I know how fast it goes after having Ady but my goodness I'd have to say that it goes twice as fast 2 of them. Our days are so busy they go by pretty fast. This little man is growing and filling out fast too! He's definitely following the trend of the other boys on my side of the family. We got to talking the other day and there is not one male on my side, mom's and dad's, who is under 6 foot!!! That's crazy!! He's got a prety good chance of being tall! At 1 Month Logan is:

  • Eating every 2-3 hours during the day

  • After your nightly bath, you eat then go to sleep and will have a good 5 or so hour stretch. Then it's about every 3 hours after that

  • Your awake periods are starting to get longer and more frequent

  • Your beginning to make coos

  • Your smiling more to peoples voices. So far to Mom, Dad, Ady, and Aunt Jessi

  • You are VERY impatient. When you are hungry you are HUNGRY!!

  • In size 1 diapers

  • Newborn clothes are starting to get too tight and short.

  • Get the hiccups at least 3 times a day!

  • You have been solely fed breastmilk until Wednesday, March 23rd. Momma got mastitis very bad and had to be put on antibiotics and won't be able to pump anymore. So we have begun to slowly introduce formula to you. You still get breastmilk and will for a while.

  • You eat between 3 and 4 ounces at a time.

  • Bathtimes are iffy! You get scared when Dad picks you up to wash your back!

  • You scream in your carseat if you are awake until we start to move then you are content.

  • You follow Mom, Dad, and Ady around in the room. More so Ady!!

  • Would prefer to be on your belly but we aren't comfortable letting you sleep like that yet!

  • You love music. It calms you down almost every time. I'm not sure what happened to the musical toys we had for Ady but we are going to have to get you something small that plays music.

  • Love to look at lights.

  • You love to snuggle up in the neck of whoever is holding you. Nana says your Uncle Bubba was like that.

  • You love to be rocked. Momma says you are the perfect Old Lady Baby. You need a little old lady that would sit and rock you always and you both would be content!

Logan at 1 month!

He's already got this little girl wrapped around his finger!
Best Friends!!
